Fred Astaire (1899-1987) was a renowned American dancer, actor, and musician, whose career spanned over 75 years. Astaire starred in many musical films, including The Gay Divorcee (1934), Shall We Dance (1937), Royal Wedding (1951), and Funny Face (1957), as well as dramas like The Towering Inferno (1974). He received several honors for his work, including an Academy Honorary Award, the Kennedy Center Honors, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
