Octavo, [three volumes], 329pp; 304pp; 301pp. Publishers green blind stamped cloth, title in gilt on spine. Yellow endpapers, with some wear at hinge of Volume I. Previous ownership bookplate affixed to the front endpaper of each volume. Housed in custom clamshell case, green morocco spine, title in gilt with three compartments.     Comments: The Adventures of Philip was the last novel completed by William Thackeray before his death in 1863. It was first published as a serial in Cornhill magazine between 1861 and August of 1862, with illustrations by Frederick Walker.
