Small octavo, [two volumes]; [xxxii], 371pp; [xi], 372pp. Green cloth, gilt border and small gilt illustration to front covers. Title in gilt on spine, small illustration at bottom of spine. Border stamped in blind and publisher’s device in gilt on rear cover. Solid text blocks, bumped corners, light soiling to covers, wear to spines. Both volumes complete with all illustrations, including frontispieces with tissue guards. With bookplate of G.C.H. Le Fleming affixed to front endpaper in both volumes. Fold-out map at front of volume one.
