Octavo, [6], 619pp. [1]. Publisher’s gray cloth covers, illustrated endpapers with “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” Stated “first published in April 1939” on copyright page. Yellow top stain. Soiling to cloth and foxing to fore edge. Light foxing and toning to cloth spine. In the publisher’s dust jacket, price clipped, archival tape repairs to verso along the spine, front hinge reinforced, light toning to spine, wear along both hinge flaps, a solid example.
