In the publisher’s first state dust jacket, $3.00 on front flap, closed tear at center spine, light rubbing to tips, no mention of Nobel Prize on rear panel. Housed in custom clamshell case, blue cloth, title in gilt over blue leather label. (Hanneman 24a). A bright example.
This book was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1953 and is considered one of the most important novels of the 20th century.
