Octavo, 242pp. Brown boards, brown cloth spine, title printed on paper labels affixed to spine and front cover. Stated “Two Hundred And Fifty Copies Of This Book Have Been Printed” on copyright page. Solid text block, bookplate remnant on front pastedown endpaper, light sunning to spine, a touch of wear to corners. A near fine example. Housed in a custom clamshell, marbled covers with title lettered in gilt on red morocco spine. (Czech 95) (Hosken 70)

One of the rarest of all African big game hunting titles. (Czech 95) Two hundred fifty copies of Recollections were privately printed by George L. Harrison to distribute to well-known sportsmen like Theodore Roosevelt. Finaughty primarily hunted throughout Matabeleland and Mashonaland, located in present-day Zimbabwe.
