All first printings, with no additional printings noted in Volume I, full number lines and “first edition” noted in Volume II and III. Some residual dust along top edge of text blocks, small point of foxing to endpaper of Volume I, extraneous pen mark along lower edge of text block of Volume I. All clean internally. In the publisher’s first state dust jackets, with $15.95 and the “7903” date code on the front flap of Volume I, touch of shelf wear to each, all with retail prices, all near fine examples.
Each volume is signed by the Pulitzer Prize winning author, Edmund Morris, on the title page.
Following his Pulitzer Prize-winning work on Theodore Roosevelt, The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt, author and historian Edmund Morris wrote Theodore Rex, which follows the presidency of Theodore Roosevelt from 1901-1909. This work was followed by Colonel Roosevelt, which details the final years of Roosevelt’s life and completes his trilogy.
