Octavo, [4pp ads], vi, 307pp. Publisher’s brown cloth, title in gilt on spine. The second edition with pagination “vi” present before main text. A mixed issue, with the first issue publisher’s catalogue dated May, 1850 and a second issue Hobart & Robbins imprint on the copyright page. Slight lean to text block, small losses of cloth to spine. Faint toning to endpapers. (BAL 7601) A nice early example of a literary classic.
