Henry Clews (1834-1923) was a British-American writer and economic expert. Clews started his own company as a member of the New York Stock Exchange in 1877 and grew incredibly wealthy, influencing his status not only in the economic and business fields but also in politics. He was a friend of President Abraham Lincoln and an economic advisor to President U.S. Grant.
