Octavo, [four volumes]. Three-quarter navy blue morocco, thin gilt trim. Five raised bands, title in gilt on spines with red and gilt embellishments. Top edge gilt, marbled paper boards and endpapers. Blue silk bookmarks sewn-in. Finely bound by Zaehnsdorf, with bindery imprint on verso of free endpaper. Solid text blocks, light rubbing to corners, spines, and boards. Internally bright with clean text.
Features an engraved frontispiece portrait of Poe in Volume I.
