Octavo, viii, 292pp. Three-quarter green morocco, marbled paper boards. Five raised bands, title in gilt on spine. All edges marbled, with matching marbled endpapers. Stated “Fourth Edition” on title page. Solid text block, light wear to corners and joints, sunned spine. Previous ownership inscription to front flyleaf, lacking the publisher’s catalogue at rear. Includes frontispiece map of Treasure Island.
The first edition of Treasure Island was published in 1883 by Cassell & Company of London.
