Naval Academy graduation program signed by President Jimmy Carter on front cover. Four page pamphlet, previously folded, some wear at edges from handling. Carter is listed as a graduate “With Distinction” on the list of graduates. A unique piece of presidential history.

Comments: Future president Jimmy Carter graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1946. Shortly after graduation he married Rosalynn Smith. He was commissioned as an ensign and graduated with a Bachelors in Science. In 1948 he began officers training for submarine duty and served aboard the USS Pomfret. After the untimely death of his father, Earl Carter, in 1953, Lieutenant Carter left the navy to return to the family farm in Plains, Georgia.
