Nelson Pierce (1925-2014) and his wife, Caroline (1924-2019), both worked at the White House from the Kennedy administration until the Clinton administration. Nelson Pierce was a White House usher and Caroline worked for the White House Historical Association. Both were close to the first families, helping with daily tasks around the House and becoming friendly with the presidential children.
