Reinhold Wulle (1882-1950) was a German politician and journalist, active in the Völkisch movement, which advocated for an ethno-nationalist government and rejection of cultural modernity. Wulle joined the German Völkisch Freedom Party in 1922, and eventually formed an alliance with the nascent Nazi party after 1925. Wulle was initially a strong supporter of Hitler and the Nazi ideology, believing it was a transition period back to the Prussian Monarchy, but quickly became disillusioned. He was imprisoned by Hitler in 1938, but survived his time in “protective custody” and was freed before the end of World War II.
