Frontispiece portraits with tissue covers. Faint dampstain to bottom edge of frontispiece in Volume II. A complete set, illustrated with 43 maps and fold-out facsimile documents. Published shortly after his death, the Personal Memoirs of U.S. Grant are held in high regard by historians and casual readers alike.
