Octavo, 243pp, [3]. Publisher’s worn brown cloth, title in gilt on spine. Spine professionally rebacked, original spine laid over new cloth. Hinges reinforced with cloth at endpapers. Dated “1851” on title page. Solid text block with faint foxing to endpapers and along fore edge. Previous ownership bookplate to front endpaper. Features 11 full-page plates throughout the book.
