Small octavo, 312pp [10pp ads]. Publishers cloth boards, gilt title on spin, shelf wear and stains on boards. Chipping of cloth along top of spine. Frontispiece portrait with tissue cover, light foxing to tissue. Occasional stains and spotting. Gift inscription on front free end paper. From the library of President Millard Fillmore. Inscription reads: “Millard Fillmore / Rec. October 26, 1860.”
President Fillmore served from 1852-1856. He was not reelected for a second term as President in 1856.
