This book is from the private collection of Journalist and presidential historian Lawrence L. Knutson, presented to him in 2002 upon his retirement after 37 years with the Associated Press. In retirement, he authored “Away from the White House: Presidential Escapes, Retreats, and Vacations” in 2014, an in-depth history of presidential retreats.
