The John Field English Bible, printed in 1653. Twelvemo, [unpaginated], [950pp approximately]. Measures 5″ x 3″ x 2.5″. Period dark brown leather, raised bands, title in gilt on spine. Blindstamp decoration on covers. Some wear at hinges, text block solid, bound at spine. Occasional pencil marks on endpapers, text clean. An excellent example.
