The recipient of this book, Major General Charles C. Haffner, Jr. (1895-1979) was the CEO of R.R. Donnelley & Sons of Chicago, Commander of the 103rd Infantry Division during WWII, a recipient of the Army Distinguished Service Medal and a graduate of Yale University. Along with President Taft, he was a member of Skull and Bones at Yale.
