Signed first edition of At the Center of the Storm, inscribed by George Tenet to Chad Kolton, spokesperson for the Director of National Intelligence during the Bush administration. Donated to the Wentworth Military Academy by Missouri Representative Ike Skelton.

Octavo, xxii, 549pp. Black hardcover, title in gilt on spine. Stated “first edition” on copyright page with full number line at bottom. Ex-library, library pocket with card affixed to front free endpaper plus usual markings to edges. In the publisher’s dust jacket, $30.00 on front flap, near fine with faint shelf wear. Inscribed by CIA Director George J. Tenet to Director of National Intelligence Chad Kolton on half-title. Inscription reads: “Dear Mr. Kolton: I was privileged to work with great men and women who always did their best for our country. Because of them, I had the best job in government. / You have always been a great friend of the Glakas and Tenet families. You have inspired so many to believe in the importance of public service. More importantly you have always been a very decent and caring man who always puts country above party and politics. May God always bless you and your family. With admiration and respect. Chad Kolton was a spokesperson for the Director of National Intelligence from 2006 to 2007. Kolton also worked for OPSEC, FEMA and the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Center. George Tenet was the Director of Central Intelligence during the Bill Clinton and George W. Bush administrations, serving through the September 11th terrorist attacks and into the Iraq War. Ike Skelton (1931-2013) was a member of the House representing Missouri from 1977-2011.
