Octavo, 594pp. Red cloth, title in gilt on front cover and spine. Stated “Published October, 1913” on copyright page. Solid text block, rubbed cloth on corners. Sunning to spine, with some loss of gilt. Previous ownership bookplate affixed to front endpaper. Lacking the incredibly scarce dust jacket. A very good example of one of Wharton’s earlier novels.
