A Concise Account of North America was the first geographical account of the interior of North America after the British took possession from France (Howes). Major Robert Rogers served in the British Army during the French and Indian War and the American Revolution. During the French and Indian War, Rogers raised and led Rogers’ Rangers company who specialized in reconnaissance and other exclusive operations.
