Thick octavo, [two volumes], xvi, 480pp, [2]; vi, 482pp, [2]. Three quarter blue morocco, blue silk boards, title in gilt on the spine with embellishments. Top edge gilt. Housed in custom blue cloth slipcase. Stated “Fifth Printing, November, 1926” on the copyright page. Light wear to hinges of both volumes, both stable. Scattered foxing in both volumes. Photographic frontispiece portraits in each volume.
