From the Limited Editions Club, All Men Are Brothers, translated by Pearl S. Buck, signed by the illustrator, Miguel Covarrubias.
Folio, [two volumes], xxix, [1], 350pp; [8], 351-688pp. Stiff boards covered in bark-paper bound together with red cords, title on red label attached to front covers. Clean text, no marks or notations. Bright illustrations. Light soiling to spine of both volumes, text blocks sound. Original red paper board chemise with red cloth spine, title printed on label attached to spine, toning to interior and exterior of spine, stain on label. Housed in publisher’s original red cardboard slipcase, shelf wear, chipping along edges, seams reinforced with archival tape repair, now stable.
From a limited edition of 1500 copies, this being number 59, signed by the illustrator, Miguel Covarrubias in Volume II. A nice example.
