Some rubbing to cloth at bottom edge of spine, otherwise a fine copy. (Nevins I, 200). Bookplate of American historian and author Peter Cozzens on front endpaper. Includes detailed lists of dead soldiers and officers. Known as a superior and gripping account of prison life at Andersonville prison in Georgia.

Comments: The author of this book features prominently in Mackinlay Kantor’s Pulitzer prize winning Andersonville. This work was re-issued as John Ranson’s Andersonville Diary in 1994.
