Octavo [2 volumes], xii, 504pp; [4], 505-935pp. Patterned cloth with illustrations on covers, title in gilt on spines. Covers are clean and bright, minor shelf wear to spine of Volume I. Gilt on top edge of both volumes. Illustrated endpapers. Occasional finger smudge in page margins. Volume II has small closed tears to bottom edge of pages 739-744. Housed in publisher’s original cardboard slipcase, title printed on label attached to spine, toning to spine, some shelf wear. From a limited edition of 1500 copies, this being number 1265, signed by the illustrator, Barnett Freedman, in Volume II. A nice set.
