Includes a letter from The University of Georgia in 1994, 5-months before the death of Dean Rusk, explaining that strokes had limited his handwriting ability, but that “Mr. Rusk was very glad to sign the book.” Inscribed on the half title.
Dean Rusk (1909-1994) held the position of Secretary of State from 1961-1969, serving in both the John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson administrations. Rusk is the second longest serving Secretary of State after Cordell Hull.
