Johnny Bench (b. 1947) is a former professional baseball player, known for his performance as a catcher for the Cincinnati Reds from 1967-1983. Bench was a fourteen-time All-Star and two-time National League MVP. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989.
