Stated “first edition” on copyright page with first state number line (98765432). Residual red scuff mark on back panel. In publishers first state dust jacket, near fine condition, with $23.00 on front flap, light wear at edges of spine, dampstain to verso of spine but not impacting cover, bright illustrations. An excellent example of this scarce work by the future president of the United States.
Comments: As the name recognition of Barack Obama increased, Dreams From My Father was reissued by Crown Publishing in 2004. This is the true first edition, which only sold 8,000 copies then went out of print in 1995.
