Large folio, [7], 10-204pp. (12 x 17 inches). Purple leather covers. Sewn-in silk bookmark. Illustrated with hundreds of color photographs, depicting the dresses and life of the Princess of Wales. Housed in publisher’s original white linen cover, lacking the publisher’s cardboard shipping container. Includes invitation and tickets to private viewing, sale schedule, auction results and large absentee bidding form. Book is signed by Princess Diana in black ink on the half-title, with limitation number 175 of 250 signed copies. A fine copy.
The sale was held on June 25th, 1997 and raised over 3.6 million dollars for charity. A highlight of the sale was a dress designed by Victor Edelstein, famously worn when Princess Diana visited the White House in 1985 and danced with John Travolta.
