Personalized letter from Felix Frankfurter, dated 1936.
Written on letterhead from 22 Queen Anne’s Gate, Westminster. One page letter, previously folded along center line. Letter is addressed to “Harry” and dated 18 July 1936.
Part of the letter reads: “I’m glad that the ultimate personal happiness that can come to one in this sorry world is now found. My very best wishes to you both.”
In 1936, Felix Frankfurter was serving as a close adviser to President Franklin Roosevelt. He would eventually be nominated by Roosevelt to serve as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court in 1939.
