Clint Hill served as a Secret Service agent from 1958 to 1975. He notably protected five U.S. presidents: Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, and Gerald Ford. Hill gained public attention for his actions during the assassination of President Kennedy on November 22, 1963, when he climbed onto the back of the presidential limousine in an attempt to shield the President and First Lady.
He received the Secret Service’s highest honor, the Medal of Valor, for his bravery that day. Hill retired from the Secret Service in 1975 and later authored several books about his experiences.
