While best remembered for his classic novella The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince), Saint-ExupĂ©ry was an aviator and member of the French Air Force. This book, originally titled Pilote de Guerre, recounts Saint-ExupĂ©ry’s experience during the Battle of France in 1940. This work received the prestigious Grand Prix LittĂ©raire de l’AĂ©ro-Club de France, awarded to notable members of the aviation community.
