Foundation is the first book in Isaac Asimov’s beloved Foundation Series. This title preceded Foundation and Empire (1952) and Second Foundation (1953). Due to the popularity of the original trilogy, Asimov wrote numerous sequels and prequels to round out the story of Hari Seldon and the Galactic Empire. These include Foundation’s Edge (1982), Foundation and Earth (1986), Prelude to Foundation (1988), and Forward the Foundation (1993). The series is relevant today as an AppleTV+ show starring Jared Harris and Lee Pace.
