Comments: The first publication of this book came six days after the death of President Franklin Roosevelt in 1945 from Pocket Books, Inc. (Halter T-177). This copy is the first “Revised and Enlarged” edition from The Dial Press, with additional text and illustrations, released a few months after the death of President Roosevelt. It includes the undelivered Jefferson Day Address, which was scheduled to be broadcast on Friday, April 13th, 1945.
