Thick octavo, xvi, [2], 687, xxvi [index] pp. Decorated cloth, title printed in creme over orange on spine. Stated “first edition” on copyright page. Orange endpapers. Top edge stained blue. Two bright orange silk bookmarks bound-in. Slight bump to bottom edge of spine. Solid binding, clean text. In publisher’s original orange dust jacket with toning and soiling to spine, light rubbing along top edge, small closed tear at top edge of spine. Housed in publisher’s original matching cardboard slipcase, title printed on circular label attached to spine, some toning and shelf wear, light chipping to corners at open end, overall solid with no loose or weak seams. From a limited edition of 1500 copies, this being number 1033. Signed by the author and her husband, Paul Child, on the limitation page. A nice example of Julia Child’s fourth book.
