This copy is signed by the author for The First Edition Circle at Kroch’s & Brentano’s of Chicago, with laid-in bookmark.

William O. Douglas (1898-1980) served on the United States Supreme Court for 36 years, the last member nominated by President Franklin Roosevelt. He is considered one of the most liberal justices to ever sit on the court.
