The Deluxe English edition of Harry Potter, also recognized as the “Children’s Artwork Series in Deluxe Hardback,” was created to cater to the gifting market. Founder and CEO of Bloomsbury Publishing, Nigel Newton, states that the Harry Potter series was well fit for the gift market, with the box set “widening each time” a new book was released. In 2013, Newton commented: “Now that the series is complete it’s very much in demand and one of our biggest Harry Potter offerings.” (Errington p. 15)
