Light wear at edges, some toning to the spine. Floral end papers, with ownership inscription on front end paper. Ownership inscriptions include “A.G. Brown,” who was a member of the New York Heavy Artillery regiment. An excellent example of this popular Civil War narrative. (Nevins, Volume 1, 118)
Comments: Per Nevins, this is the work of a popular post war writer, with numerous conversations and anecdotes about the war. Nevins notes that “where fact ends and fiction begins is never quite clear.”
