Handwritten description of provenance above signature, dated June, 1933. Inscribed on the front free endpaper: “The Kind Regards of Herbert Hoover.”

This work was also issued in a limited edition binding by Charles Scribner’s Sons in 1933. The limited edition run was individually numbered, with a total of 620 in circulation. They were not signed by President Hoover. After his presidency, Herbert Hoover continued to be a prolific author.
