Octavo, 281pp. Full red leather with gilt bird cage design, title in gilt, and gilt facsimile signature to front cover. Four raised bands, title in gilt on spine. All edges gilt, silk bookmark sewn-in, with patterned endpapers. A fine example, appears unread. Includes a signed certificate of authenticity laid-in at front. Housed in the matching slip case, full red cloth, with a facsimile of Angelou’s signature stamped in gilt on front cover.

Maya Angelou passed away in May 2014, one year before this volume was released. The Easton Press bound in signed leaves from a previous limited edition to create this updated collector’s edition, now including a matching clamshell case. The signed edition preceding this copy was published in 1999, which matches the certificate of authenticity dated “2-16-99” by both Angelou and a witness.
