Octavo, [29pp]. Tan paper covers, stapled at spine. Brown paper wraps, with numerous illustrations of basketball drills. Lacking rear wrapper. This instructional manual was published in 1969, while Knight was the head coach at Army. This work is one of four private publication coaching pamphlets from Coach Knight, which include: Let’s Play Defense (1968), Let’s Get A Shot (1968), Quickness Reaction Practice Planning (1970), and Motion Offense (1975).
Bobby Knight (1940-2023) was an NCAA basketball coach, holding three national championships, eleven Big Ten Conference Championships, and an Olympic gold medal as the coach of the 1984 USA Men’s Basketball Team. He retired with the most wins of any coach in NCAA Division I basketball history but has since been surpassed by three coaches. He was the head coach of the Army Black Knights from 1965-1971, the Indiana Hoosiers from 1971-2000, and the Texas Tech Red Raiders from 2001-2008. He passed away at the age of 83 in 2023.
