Notation in ink on title page. Occasional marks in margins, text not affected. Small stain on bottom of text block. In publisher’s illustrated dust jacket, retail price of $5.95 on front flap, toning to spine and interior, lightly rubbed along spine ends and corners, short closed tear along top edge of back flap. Inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper: “To George Lenz, With sincerest regards and gratitude for the copy of Children of Ham. Claude Brown. May 27, 1982.”
