Another inscription dated 1997, translated to English: “A gift from Aunt Margot’s second husband: Hans Regolien, former Lieutenant with the Waffen SS Leibstandarte: Adolf Hitler (During my visit Christmas 1997) – H.B.”

In 1935, Eher Verlag approached Hitler with the idea that all newlyweds in Germany should receive a presentation copy of Mein Kampf, in lieu of other gifts such as a bible. Each “Wedding Volume” would contain a tipped-in presentation page from the mayor of each municipality, with each municipality purchasing their copies and the royalties going to the author. The first edition of the Wedding Edition [Hochzeitsausgabe] was published in 1936. Many copies survived the allied prohibition due to their wedding day significance.

The full dedication page is translated as follows: “The foundations of the state and the family are contained in this work by Adolf Hitler. The City of Stuttgart presents it to Mr. and Mrs. Enále-Seering on their marriage with the wish that the thoughts of our F hrer may also be the guiding star and direction for this marriage. Stuttgart, March 25, 1939 / Der Oberburgermeister.”
