Thick octavo, xxxi, [1], 822pp, [6]. Finely bound in three-quarter green morocco, with gilt trim to covers. Marbled paper-covered boards, matching marbled endpapers. Five raised bands, title in gilt with gilt compartments on spine. Bindery’s imprint states “Bound by Sangorski & Sutcliffe. London, England” with “Acid Free Leather” on verso of front free endpaper. Previous ownership inscription in pencil opposite half-title. Solid text block, light rubbing to covers and edges. A near fine example.
