Title in gilt on spine with gilt-ruled bands and embellishments stamped in blind. Marbled endpapers. No additional printings listed on copyright page. Solid text blocks, toning to boards, corners rubbed and worn, wear to joints and spine. Faint foxing to edge of text blocks, and faint toning to leaves. Slight ripple to text, usual with age. Includes a large fold-out frontispiece map of India backed in linen.
