In the publisher’s dust jacket, retail price on front flap, small archival repair to verso, bright illustrations, a very good example. Inscribed to the Deputy Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force: “Maj. Gen. Jack Thomas, with high regards, Nate Twining / Sept. 26, 1966.”
Gen. Nathan F. Twining (1897-1992) served as Air Force Chief of Staff from 1953-1957 and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1957-1960. He retired in 1960 as a four-star general, the highest rank in the United States Air Force.
