Comments: North of the Orient by Anne Morrow Lindbergh follows the journey of herself and husband Charles Lindbergh from the United States, through Japan and China, in 1931. The book was Lindbergh’s first foray into nonfiction and was met with critical acclaim. It received the National Book Award for nonfiction in 1935.
