Light foxing along top edge of text block, otherwise fine. Lacking the publisher’s scarce slipcase and dust jackets. Signed in Volume I on tipped-in signature page by Henry L. Stimson, with a presentation card in Volume II from “Mrs. Henry L. Stimson.” This is from an unnumbered limited edition, held for presentation by the author and co-author.
Henry L. Stimson (1867-1950) served as Secretary of War from 1911-13, Secretary of State from 1929-33 and Secretary of War from 1940-45.
